The Radix Project (Roots4Rights), launched by Calala Women’s Fund in partnership with Otro Tiempo and co-financed by the European Union under the CERV-2024-CITIZENS-VALUES call, is a new initiative designed to support grassroots efforts to protect and advance fundamental rights, with a particular focus on the rights of women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

The project has two main components: project financing, managed by Calala, and capacity building, coordinated by Otro Tiempo. Together, these pillars aim to strengthen and sustain the work of civil society organizations engaged in the defense of fundamental rights.

The call is open to non-profit grassroots organizations based in Spain, such as associations, foundations, or cooperatives, that work to uphold the rights of women and girls, LGBTQIA+ communities, migrants and racialized people, domestic and care workers, sex workers, and women with disabilities or living in rural areas.

Priority will be given to organizations led predominantly by women and/or LGBTQIA+ individuals, emphasizing leadership from those most affected by the issues being addressed.
